Pharmacie

The French are the most depressed people in Europe - They are the highest consumers of drugs [over the counter and prescription drugs and anti-depressants]. That's really surprising, since when everyone thinks of France, they think "oh its such a great place, romantic, etc." whatever. Maybe, they're so depressed because, it's such a boring place [OK i take that back, you'll see why in my St. Tropez posts.] To prove that they consume a lot of drugs, there is a pharmacy on almost every corner; the concentration of pharmacies in this city is amazing. I was wondering why, until my French lecturer revealed the secret French drug-craving. [Pharmacie Sextius is not a sex pharmacy, its just a pharmacy on a street called "Sextius" which is an ancient word for "water" or something].

Baguette

The famous French baguette [no bag, no covering, just hold it in your hand - as is - and walk down the road with it.] I just had to try this, I mean, it's France, why not. It can be hard at times, but if you eat it right when it comes out of the oven, it's really "lovely".

Passage Agard

A Narrow passage which forms a small shopping mall. On this site a large convent of Carmelite friars was repurchased by Félicien Agard in 1846.

It's really hidden, you wont even think this small dorrway opens up into a secret passageway.

La Ville de L'Avignion: Montfavet

After exploring Avignon to the max, we decided to go to the Fête des Foins in a nearby village: Montfavet. There was a very very very country-side fair there, and we had a great lunch for a cheap price. Here, if anyone even catches a glimpse of you eating food, they yell out "bon appetite" almost as if to draw the attention of everyone in the town to you and your food. This was a true French experience, since in this part of town, there weren't much tourists.

More hay, infront of yet another church; lunch:

Colourful sweets; and Fromage [cheese] in an advanced rotted state :S
